Raising 2 kids and working as a mechanical engineer since graduating from Wright State University in 2007, Fai Leung of Springboro hadn’t really pictured himself starting his own business.

“There is a lot of industry in this area,” Leung said. “I have been working in pump motors and air compressor engineering right out of college and part of me has always had that entrepreneurial spirit. I realized there aren’t a lot of companies out there servicing the dental industry.”

Leung, who also has an MBA, has always been a do-it-yourselfer and with his mechanical background, knew he could fix most motors himself. “If dentists have broken equipment, they can’t see patients,” he said. “I’m an engineer so I figured I could help them.”

He came across a franchise company, “Dental Fix RX,” headquartered in Florida and after visiting the Columbus, Ohio office knew he could be successful because he enjoys the challenge of putting equipment and machinery in top condition.

“I researched and first asked the question, ‘does Dayton have enough dentists for us to do this?’” Leung said. “And I determined it could be done so in November, we made a big commitment as a family and I quit my job in order to open the business.”

After 8 successful years of Dental Fix Rx Franchise, Leung has won the following national awards / honors:

In 2024 December, Leung made an arrangement to dissolve the franchise agreement to start his fully independent full service dental equipment company. This strategic move allows his to put his dental client first and lay out the road for future come. As Leung stated “The best has yet to come!”
